Embodying Wellness Empowering Life

About me
“In stillness, the body listens. In rest, we are transformed.” - Zhuangzi
As a former professional ballet dancer and lifelong mover, my connection to the body began early through discipline, structure, and control. But as I grew and my life evolved, I came to understand that the body holds its own kind of wisdom, and when we slow down enough to listen, we begin to uncover a more intuitive, and empowered path to healing.
My work as a Holistic Massage and Bodywork Practitioner is rooted in this belief. I see the body not as a machine to fix but as a living, responsive system that reflects our physical, emotional, and energetic states all at once. When we bring awareness to the body, we start to recognize what it feels like to be in balance, and we can begin to shift the patterns that keep us stuck or out of balance. Bodywork, in this way, becomes a practice of rebalancing the whole being.
Through intentional touch and focused therapy, I aim to assist clients in achieving their goals and in feeling a sense of connection. I strive to support and educate clients so that they can start to recognize their own patterns of maladaptation, and become the empowered drivers of their own healing. To me, this is what holistic work is about: coming back into a relationship with yourself, body, mind, and spirit, and finding a sense of wholeness that comes from within.
What is Dao?
One of the oldest concepts in history, Dao (or Tao) describes the course or way of nature. In Chinese philosophy, it refers to the natural flow of life that underlies and moves all aspects of change and evolution. As Lao Tzu writes in his book the Tao Te Ching, “To know the constant is to be in harmony with the Way”. It’s the movement of water, the cycle of the seasons, the quiet intelligence behind how life organizes itself. And when we can understand this principle, we have the capacity to “go with the flow”, to change and adapt, and to move in accord with our natural rhythms rather than going against the grain of life. This philosophy has been an incredible inspiration to me in my life and is the basis for my work and mission with Dao Bodywork for Health.
